Four Sisters Farm is a grass fed micro dairy farm in Newaygo, MI focused on providing the community with unpasteurized quality milk through a herdshare program. We strive to work with the land and the animals and all of God given creation to create the most nourishing and delicious milk. We utilize rotational grazing and guernsey cows to achieve these goals. We source our feed from local farmers with the same quality mindset as us and the cows get the best locally grown hay in the winter and organic locally grown grain at milking time as a treat.

Herd Shares FAQ
•What is a herd share? In Michigan it is illegal to sell unpasteurized milk to the public. However it is not illegal for a person to drink the unpasteurized (raw) milk of an animal they own. So a herd share is a contract stating that, while you are part of the program, you own a small part of an animal that allows you a certain amount of that animals milk every week.
•How much does a herd share cost? You can have access to raw milk with a one time herd share fee of $10/share. A share is one half gallon jar. After you buy your share, milk costs $5/jar that you buy weekly.
•Am I allowed to buy more than one share? Absolutely! You can buy one or ten or anything in between! We understand every household looks different. Some don’t need more than one jar a week and some (like us!) have a gaggle of kids to feed. You choose what works best for your home.
•What does pick up look like each week? We have a self-serve honor system farm store that you’ll bring empty jars back to and put them on the jar wall, put money in the pay box and then take your milk from the fridge on your designated day.
• How do I sign up for a herd share? Send us an email from this website or a message on instagram and we will set up a time for you to stop at the farm store to go over the contract and answer any questions you have.
